The Coban region is considered to be among the finest areas in Guatemala for coffee cultivation for it is a coffee tree growing paradise. The Coban region has two seasons: rainy and rainier. It is literally a rain-forest: cloudy, cool, with only a few sunlight hours a day. This humid environment along with high altitudes, and limestone and clay soil, results in a coffee that is full-bodied with a rich spicy flavor and soft mouthfeel. Its flavor is highest at a medium roast.
